Belzoni Cemetery
Pushmataha County, Oklahoma
Ancestors Are Gone, But Not Forgotten!

*A Bizytex Cemetery Memorial
Project*
Belzoni
Cemetery has been around just about as long as Oklahoma has been a state.
The cemetery is located between Antlers and Rattan, Oklahoma on Highway
3. It is
sort of off on a beaten path, so it is not a cemetery that you will see
while
driving by on the highway.
Our Ancestors, the Fleming families moved into Pushmataha Country from
Texas
as early as 1902, but originally came from Logan Country, Kentucky.
Moses Allen Fleming was married to Mary Ellen Johnson and they were the
parents
of nine children. Mary Ellen died as well as 3 children before Moses
moved to
Belzoni. They built their first houses in the bend of the Kiamichi
River near the Birdsong Crossing. "Grandpap" Moses, as he was called,
was married three times and outlived all of his wives.
